Romania, the country in the European Union with the highest percentage increase in car registrations


Thus, in the period January-April this year, a number of 2,930,366 units were registered, a decrease of 14.4% compared to the similar period of 2021.

There were decreases in new car registrations compared to January-April 2021 in: Germany (-9%), Spain (-11.8%), France (-18.6%) and Italy (-26.5%) .

With 37,447 new cars registered, Romania registered the highest percentage increase in the European Union, of + 35.6% compared to January-April 2021.

Moreover, Dacia is the only manufacturer in Europe that had an increase in registrations in the first four months of this year.

With 134,356 units sold, Dacia registered an increase of 14.7% compared to the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the Renault Group fell by 9% and the Volkswagen Group by 18.1%. Ford also recorded a 16.2% drop in registrations.
