Lockheed Martin plans to double production of Javelin missiles

General Manager James Taiclet said Lockheed Marin’s goal is to increase production from 2,100 to 4,000 Javelin missiles a year. The increase in missile production will take several years, according to his statement, in an interview for CBS News.

“We are planning for the long term and not just for Javelin,” said James Taiclet.

Joe Biden paid a visit to one of the company’s gun manufacturing units last week. Lockheed and Raytheon Technologies jointly produce weapons at the US President’s Alabama visit.

The president’s visit was aimed at pressuring Congress to approve the $ 33 billion aid package to support Ukraine.
