India is working to stabilize economic interaction with Russia in the face of sanctions imposed by Western countries, and an interagency group is studying issues related to the payment mechanisms of settlements with Moscow. This was announced on Thursday by the official representative of the Indian Foreign Ministry Arindam Bagchi.

“Our goal was to see how we can stabilize the economic agreements or the economic interaction we have with Russia in the current environment,” said Bagci, whose comment was posted on the Foreign Ministry’s website on Thursday.

According to him, the sanctions imposed unilaterally by Western countries could also affect India. “There is a possibility that these sanctions could affect us, so we are discussing between agencies and other discussions to see how we can keep our economic relations with Russia stable and also to see how we can ensure that our interests are not affected.” , said a spokesman for the Indian Foreign Ministry.
