According to the agency, most of the company’s aircraft are Airbus and Boeing models. Experts estimate that the airline’s reserves are sufficient for three months, after which the aircraft can be dismantled for spare parts. The publication writes that the replacement of imported models with Russian-made aircraft will not be able to cover the need. On April 7, the US Department of Commerce deprived Aeroflot and other Russian airlines of access to US-made products and banned its re-export from other countries. Earlier, on February 24, the United States imposed restrictions on exports of aviation products to Russia.
All aircraft manufactured in the United States or containing more than 25% of parts manufactured in the United States must obtain a special license if they are scheduled to be delivered to the Russian Federation or Belarus. The United States has also banned the maintenance of aircraft visiting Russia as part of export control measures.
The list of aircraft published by the agency included 99 Boeing aircraft operated by Russian passenger and cargo carriers, including Aeroflot, AirBridge Cargo, Utair, Nordwind, Azur Air and Aviastar. The list also includes a Gulfstream G650 aircraft owned by Russian businessman Roman Abramovich.
The list was later expanded to include 73 other companies – Pobeda, Rossia, Alrosa, S7 Airlines, Pegas Fly and Royal Flight, Atran.
