Activities that help keep the brain in shape

This process can be slowed down by a series of activities that are beneficial to the brain, but also to other organs.

Exercise strengthens the brain cells and the connections between them. This allows, among other things, to stimulate the creation of new nerve cells and improves blood circulation, which limits the risk of suffering from a cardiovascular disease, Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. The most recommended activities are: walking or cycling, walking, gardening and dancing.

Unhealthy eating usually leads to an increase in bad cholesterol. This increases the risk of suffering from cardiovascular disease and therefore brain damage. A diet based on the consumption of green vegetables, fruits and cereals helps us to protect our brain cells. Recommended foods for the brain include spinach, broccoli, fish, seeds and dried fruit.
