A 22-year-old toy fox terrier entered the Book of Records as the oldest dog in the world

Pebbles was born on March 28, 2000 and was entered in the Book of Records this month. Pebbles owners Julie and Bobby Gregory of South Carolina decided to put the dog on the Book of Records after seeing the news about 21-year-old TobyKeith, the former title holder.

The South Carolina couple adopted Pebbles in 2000, when they were looking for a larger dog, according to Digi24.

“She jumped and barked so hard that Bobby and I realized we had no choice but to meet her. It was love at first sight. I always joke about her and tell her how amazing it is that we still have her, given that most of us have known each other for over 20 years and remember when we brought her home, ”said Julie.
