The petition was filed in the court by Syed Amjad Ali, the father of a girl named Neha Ali, in which it was stated that a girl named Asma Bibi alias Ali Akash had changed her gender by changing her papers and from her daughter. got married. The petitioner said that religion does not allow intermarriage of girls

The case has been adjourned till August 17.

Judge Abdul Aziz of the Rawalpindi Bench in his brief order said that the evidence presented before the court showed that Asma Bibi alias Ali Akash was a girl and as long as she was a member of the medical board set up to determine her gender. Until then, it will be considered as such.

The court said in its order that Asma Bibi alias Ali Akash was not deliberately appearing before the medical board which was constituted to determine the sex on the basis of the court order.

A report on the arrest of Asma Bibi alias Ali Akash was also submitted by the Rawalpindi police during the hearing of the petition regarding the alleged marriage of the two girls.

The report said that the police raided various places in Rawalpindi and Lahore to arrest the accused but they did not succeed in arresting the alleged groom.

Expressing anger over the police report, the Lahore High Court judge said that the accused should be arrested in any case and produced before the court.

During the hearing, the police also produced the bride Neha in court. The court was told that Neha was living in a shelter home run by an NGO in Lahore.

The court has ordered to send Neha to Darulaman in Rawalpindi.

During the last hearing, the lawyer of accused Asma Bibi alias Ali Akash had told the court that his client had divorced his wife Neha, to which Justice Chaudhry Abdul Aziz had remarked that the divorce case would be looked into at that time. When the marriage is proved and the sex of the groom i.e. Asma Bibi alias Ali Akash will be determined.

The court upheld the non-bailable arrest warrant of Asma Bibi alias Ali Akash and directed the police to produce her in the court at the next hearing.
